Upgrade to V3

Version 3 was built from the ground up and whilst it looks the same on the outside, inside, it's very different. As a result a direct update from v1.x or v2.x is not possible....sorry!

Steps to upgrade to v3

The following steps will guide you to upgrade your Multiply Theme from previous version to v3. Please note that the whole process may take some time, depending on the size of your website, since it will require you to re-create some or most of your pages.

There are two ways you can upgrade to v3:
  1. By installing in on your existing website using an older version of Multiply Theme
  2. By cloning your existing website onto a staging environment and then performing the upgrade
We would recommend the 2nd option, i.e. setting up a clone of your existing website on a staging environment and performing the upgrade there. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will assume you are using the 2nd approach.
